2015-16 School Calendar

Our school board approved the calendar for next year.

Labor Day is very late this year, so it may look as though school is starting earlier than normal, due to when the first Monday in September falls on the calendar.  In the next year our school district will have a greater emphasis on developing personal learning plans for students. Teachers will need professional development training to assure the very best instructional delivery. We must allow time for teacher training. This important Professional Development is on the calendar for a two hour late start once a month, on the second Wednesday of (Sept 9; Oct 14; Nov 11; Dec 9; Jan 13; Feb 10; March 9; April 13; May 11). On these days, teachers will be attending district wide professional development. 

On these mornings the school day and morning bus pick up will start exactly two hours later than the normal schedule. The in-school student schedule will be adjusted slightly.  We hope this advance notice for next year will help you plan for the year ahead. UCS is examining all possibilities to support families for days when the delay presents transportation hardships.  Please contact UCS Principal Barbara Nason for any questions you may have.
