Monthly all UCS students have 90 minutes of integrated arts.  Be sure

All Chittenden East schools                                         will test their emergency notification system on Monday, November 2nd, at 6:00PM. 

Families will receive a phone message as well as an email.

This system will notify school families and staff of urgent information such as school closures, delays or emergencies.

If do not wish to be notified by phone or email or do not receive the expected phone call on Monday evening November 2, please contact the Underhill Central School office at 899-4676.

Delayed Start Early Morning Bus Transportation is available to students attending the Y at UCS early morning care program on delayed start days.  November 11 is the next delayed start.  The Y program opens at 7:15 AM for parent drop off.  Buses begin dropping off at UCS between 7:30 and 8:00 AM.  Please contact connie.arceneaux@cesuvt.org if you need to add your child to the transportation list.

Oct. 30 Students at UCS celebrate the season with cheering at the annual Playgroup Parade. Please keep candy and costumes for PreK-4th grade students at home.  

Nov. 5 1:30 PM Turkey Trot Families Join the Fun!

Nov. 11 Delayed Start - the school day begins at 9:50 AM buses arrive beginning at 9:30 AM. Contact the Greater Burlington YMCA for early morning child care.

Nov. 12 Thanksgiving Luncheon at UCS  

11:30-12:00 PreK-2nd grade lunch

12:00-12:30 3rd & 4th graders

Families please make your lunch reservation via email to connie.arceneaux@cesuvt.org - The reservation is essential for the cook to order and prepare enough food.

 We want to share the great works of our talented young scholars with UCS families. Will You Volunteer?  Looking for a parent to help us format and type student writing into a monthly student writer's publication. Please email barbara.nason@cesuvt.org  or call the principal to find out
more information on how you can help!  This could also be a great community service project for a high school student.

Beginning October 23, all school news and information will be on the school blog, facebook and twitter. Electronic information will replace the weekly UCS school newsletter.

Oh, The Thinks You Can Think!
Today, UCS teachers worked with math teacher leaders Karen Reinhardt and Christian Courtemanche examining multiplicative reasoning in third and fourth grade and place value in K-2, determining next steps for instruction. This professional development has a direct correlation to student achievement.

October 14 DELAYED START SCHOOL DAY 9:30AM.  GBYMCA provides morning care 7:15am at UCS free of charge to registered families.  Call the Y at 862-9622 to register.
